Today is a day… It is special.

Today is a day… It is special. Unfortunately special is not an adjective exclusively meaning “good”. Typically I use this post as a stage of nonsense to post the weekend specials and overuse the word. I was in my sophomore year in high school when this day became unfortunately special. The phrase “NEVER FORGET” would be posted less and less as years went by and we moved on from just how significant the events of 9/11 were. This is an important part of the healing process… however, only if this “moving on” has provided us with a wiser perspective to carry with us as we inevitably encounter life’s blessings and terrible challenges. Here’s to the lives lost on this “special” day and all the lives sacrificed in the following years. With that in mind let’s enjoy this beautiful day with our fellow humans and always be open to perspective. And yes… here are the weekend specials too
